Join Karen and Chantel in raising money for CMHA Simcoe County's Addiction services in memory of Natasha Birstonas. Natasha passed away suddenly from an overdose on May13th 2020 in Simcoe County. This will be held the week she would have turned 34.
Due to potential Covid-19 restrictions, this team has decided to plan this day in a unique way. Anyone who would like to join is welcome to by having the freedom of planning out your own 10km route wherever you live. If you choose to make a shorter route that's okay too! Karen and Chantel will be planning a route in Simcoe County. Karen will be biking and Chantel will be running!
If you would like to join in, please contact them via phone call, text or e-mail (Chantel Proulx: 905-867-4008 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org) + pay $30.00 per person via email money transfer or drop in person to Karen or Chantel. $20 will be donated towards CMHA & you will receive a tax receipt). The remainder $10 will be put towards a memorable keep sake item that will be mailed out or dropped off to you prior to the event date (more info will come soon). The $20.00 that is donated to CMHA will be added to any other donations that you contribute under your name as the top three people who raise the most amount of money will receive a prize mailed to them following the event (details to come about what will be included in the prize baskets).
Those who are participating in the 10k and/or those who are interested in donating to CMHA will be provided with a tracking donation sheet along with a letter of support authorizing the event through CMHA.
There will also be a video created that showcases everyone's videos and photos of their participation (so please capture your participation with lots of photos, videos and/or a message that you might want to share and e-mail it to us as soon as possible after the event day). They will put it together in a video and it will be sent out to everyone by the end of June. The goal is regardless of where you are joining in from everyone will begin at the same time 10am on the same day (Saturday June 12th 2021).
If you would like to skip the event but would still like to donate you can follow the donation link https://starttalking.ca/donate/ and choose to put that the donation in memory of Natasha Birstonas (include your name for tracking towards the prizes). A tally of who donates through the website will be trached to go towards the top three prizes.
